Rachael R. Lape

Rachael Lape is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Atlantic Union Bank. Rachael has over fifteen years of experience as a corporate lawyer, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and corporate governance.

Ms. Lape began their legal career at K&L Gates LLP in 2000, where they worked on public and private offerings of securities and assisted investment advisers with compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. In 2003, they joined Goldberg Kohn, where they represented prominent banks and other financial institutions on loan transactions with values ranging from $10 million to $100 million.

In 2007, Ms. Lape joined Williams Mullen PC as an attorney, representing lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, including commercial real estate loans. Rachael left Williams Mullen in 2009 to join Atlantic Union Bank.

Ms. Lape is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Rachael R. Lape has a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Journalism - BJ; Bachelor of Arts - BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Rachael specialized in Russian and Journalism while at university.

Rachael R. Lape reports to John C. Asbury, CEO. They are on a team with Rob Gorman - CFO, Shawn O'Brien - Consumer Banking Group Executive, and M. Dean Brown - EVP & Chief Information Officer.
