Dirk Schiller

Dirk Schiller has a strong background in the vacuum industry, with extensive experience in various roles. Dirk is currently the Head of Mechanism Development Industrial Vacuum at Atlas Copco since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Leybold from 2015 to 2020, where they held positions such as the Head of Engineering Industrial Vacuum and Senior Manager Product Enhancement. Before joining Leybold, they worked at Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum as a Senior Technologist from 2014 to 2015. From 2006 to 2014, they held managerial positions at Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum GmbH, focusing on technology development for fore vacuum and roots boosters. Dirk started their career at Leybold Vacuum GmbH in 2000, where they worked as a Project Manager and R&D Engineer. Dirk also gained valuable experience as a Trainee at Leybold Vacuum USA in 2000. Overall, Dirk Schiller has more than 20 years of experience in the vacuum industry, with a strong focus on technology development and management.

Dirk Schiller pursued their education in Engineering Physics at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences from 1996 to 2000. Dirk received a degree called Dipl. Ing. (FH) upon completion of their studies.
