Rod Black has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rod is currently the Head of Marketing at atlasRFIDstore since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Performance Marketing at DiscountFilters.com from November 2022 to February 2023.
From 2017 to 2022, Rod held multiple leadership positions at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers. Rod was the Vice President, Performance Marketing from February 2022 to August 2022, where they developed and led integrated marketing strategies, oversaw diverse channel execution, and managed vendor and team relations. Rod also served as the Vice President, Digital Marketing from June 2021 to January 2022, the Director of Digital Marketing from March 2019 to May 2021, and the Senior Digital Marketing Manager from March 2017 to February 2019.
Prior to their role at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, Rod worked as the Senior Media Manager at 360i from March 2015 to March 2017. Rod also held roles at Strong Automotive Merchandising as the Paid Search Manager from January 2015 to March 2015 and as the SEM Project Manager from October 2012 to December 2014.
Rod's earlier work experience includes roles such as the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at the University of Alabama in Huntsville from October 2011 to August 2012, the Digital Communications Specialist at FEMA from June 2011 to September 2011, and the Athletics Communications Assistant at the University of North Florida from August 2010 to May 2011.
Rod began their career as the Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant at the University of Alabama from January 2008 to June 2010.
Rod Black has a strong educational background in the field of sports management and kinesiology. Rod obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from The University of Alabama in 2008. Rod then pursued further studies and completed a Master of Arts in Sport Management from the same university in 2010.
In addition to their academic achievements, Rod has also obtained several certifications to enhance their marketing skills. In 2013, they received certifications in Google Ads (Display and Search) from Google, as well as becoming Bing Ads Certified by Microsoft. Rod further expanded their knowledge and expertise by completing the Executive Development Program in Marketing Leadership from The Chief Marketing Officer Institute in May 2019.
