Lino Ortiz

Lino Ortiz is currently a Network Security Engineer at ATLAS Space Operations. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Information Security Engineer at Global Payments Inc. from August 2011 to June 2020. In this role, Lino was responsible for implementing initiatives to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access internally or via the Internet. Lino leveraged their advanced understanding of security mechanisms, as well as experience in the determination of security vulnerabilities, weakness, threats, and related risks within an IT infrastructure. Lino also oversaw system information security architecture, design, installation, operational planning, and risk remediation activities on Motorola Air Defense (Mojo [Arista]), Trend Micro Tipping Points IPS (Cisco Sourcefire), Security Onion, RSA Authentication Manager, FireEye, and Symantec (Broadcom) Blue Coat worldwide.

Lino has demonstrated their flexibility, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and ability to manage multiple priorities effortlessly; they have been recognized as a resource for effective support. Lino has also conducted security research to identify emerging security issues.

Lino Ortiz has a Cisco SBMAM, Cisco SMB Engineer, and SBCSEN certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and Microsoft (MS). Lino also has an AWS CCP certification from Amazon.

Lino Ortiz reports to Kristin Rice, VP of Operations. They are on a team with Hanna Pritchard - Licensing & Regulatory Officer, Orbit Analyst, Clint Schlegel - Program Manager, Network Development, and Amy Button-Denby - Program Manager.
