Jeff Holden has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. In 1992, they began working at D.E. Shaw & Co., L.P. in multiple positions. In 1997, they joined Amazon.com, Inc. as SVP of Worldwide Discovery, and later as SVP of Consumer Applications and VP of Consumer Applications. In 2006, they became the CEO of Pelago, Inc., where they developed Whrrl, which was launched in 2007. In 2011, they joined Groupon as SVP of Product Management. In 2014, they became the Chief Product Officer of Uber Technologies. In 2019, they became a Board Member of Boom Supersonic and NEXA3D, and also founded and became CEO of Atomic Machines.
Jeff Holden obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1986 and 1990. Jeff then went on to complete a Master of Science in Computer Science at the same university between 1990 and 1991. Holden's educational journey began at Rochester High School, where they studied between 1983 and 1986.
