Betty Wiens

Director, Analytical Development at AtomVie Global Radiopharma Inc.

Betty Wiens has a strong background in analytical development and quality control within the pharmaceutical and environmental sectors. Betty is currently the Director of Quality Control and Analytical Development at AtomVie Global Radiopharma Inc. Prior to this, Betty held positions at Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization as the Director of Quality Control and Analytical Development and Manager of Analytical Development. Betty also worked at Taro Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Supervisor in Analytical Research & Development, and at Maxxam Analytics and Environment Canada as an Analytical Chemist and Supervisor, respectively.

Betty Wiens has a strong academic background in the field of chemistry. Betty began their education at Western University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Chemistry from 1980 to 1984. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Physical Chemistry from 1984 to 1986.

Later on, Betty explored different areas of study and enrolled in part-time studies at Seneca College from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they focused on Introduction to Microbiology and Pharmaceutical Product Formulation.

In addition to their formal education, Betty has also obtained two certifications. In May 2015, they completed the Quality Assurance for Medical Marihuana certification at the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences. Later in September 2015, they obtained the Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW) certification from McMaster University.

Overall, Betty Wiens has a strong educational foundation in chemistry and has expanded their knowledge in related areas through additional certifications.
