Eva Malessa is a researcher currently affiliated with the University of Turku and has been a Junior Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä since April 2018. Eva focuses on technology-enhanced initial literacy training for low-literate and non-literate adults learning to read in Finnish as a second language. Previous roles include Project Researcher for the AllRead project, which studies reading development in digital environments, and a Pre-sessional English Teacher at INTO Newcastle University. Eva holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Linguistics and Language Acquisition from Newcastle University and a Master's in Finnish-English-German Language and Culture from the University of Jyväskylä. Additional experiences include teaching various language courses, leading summer camps, and presenting research at linguistic conferences.
