Ritva Vainionpää has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ritva began their career in 1985 as a Financial Manager at Wihuri Group, where they were responsible for financial accounting, profitability analysis of retail stores, and ICT. Ritva then worked as a Financial Manager at VTT, Technical Research Center of Finland, gaining insight into government financials and the unique financial environment of research funding combined with commercial business. In 1996, they joined Neste Group, Isora Oy as a Financial Manager, focusing on product calculations, plant profitability, ICT-projects, and Scandinavian cooperation. Ritva then moved to Georgia-Pacific Finland Oy in 1997 as a Business Controller, overseeing controllership of the Russian converting plant, domestic sales, and financial responsibilities in the Baltic area. From 2001 to 2014, they worked as the Vice President Business Controlling at Patria. Finally, they joined Atria Plc in 2014 as the Group Controller. Throughout their career, Ritva has demonstrated a strong financial acumen and a willingness to adapt to different industries and roles.

From 1979 to 1985, they attended the University of Vaasa and obtained a Master's Degree in Accounting, Financing, and Taxation together with Marketing.
From 1995 to 2000, they studied at the University of Turku and earned a Licentiate's Degree in Accounting and Financing.
