Tommi Kumpulainen has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Tommi has worked as a Project Manager at Atria Plc, where they were responsible for managing a large-scale poultry production investment. Tommi'srole included overseeing production processes, equipment purchases, contract issues, and process engineering. Tommi also worked as a Process Specialist at Atria Plc, where they focused on production specification and simulation in the pre-planning phase of a poultry production project.

Tommi Kumpulainen completed their Doctor of Science (Tech.) degree in Food Development from the University of Turku, during the period from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Paper Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2006. Additionally, they hold certifications including Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) from The Finnish Transport Safety Agency, obtained in September 2007, and Operation Supervisor (chemicals) from the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes).
