Troy Leo, MD, MHCM has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Troy is currently serving as the Senior Medical Director of Virtual Health at Atrium Health. Prior to this, they held various roles at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, including Vice-Chief of Cardiology, Medical Director, and General Cardiologist. Troy has also worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at both Wake Forest School of Medicine and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine from 2004 to 2008. Troy Leo's undergraduate education was completed at the University of Notre Dame, where they earned a BS degree in Mathematics from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained several board certifications, including Board Certified Cardiovascular Computed Tomography from The Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement in January 2022, Board Certified - Echocardiography from The American Society of Echocardiography in 2019, Board Certified - Cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2015, and Board Certified - Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2011.
