Prior to becoming Chief Legal Officer in April 2010, Kim served as Vice President and General Counsel since September 2000. Kim's responsibilities include advising all levels of management and staff on a broad range of health law and general corporate issues, including governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, employment, licensure issues, network management, accreditation, patient care, and professional staff matters. Previously, Kim was Associate General Counsel/Director of Risk Management at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care from 1996 to 2000 and Assistant General Counsel at Harvard Community Health Plan beginning in 1992. Kim began her law career as an associate with a law firm focused primarily on medical malpractice defense and employment law. Kim is also a registered nurse and was on the nursing staff at Beth Israel Hospital in the early 1980s.
