Valerie Garrett

Valerie Garrett has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong focus on internal medicine and quality management. Valerie currently works as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at Sutter Health - Bay Area since February 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Medical Director, Customer Success at Atropos Health starting from December 2022.

Before joining Atropos Health, Valerie worked at Glytec as the Executive Director of Quality from October 2018 to June 2020. Valerie also served as the Hospitalist Medical Director at Mission Medical Associates from June 2016 to May 2018, where they played a significant role in managing the daily operations of the hospitalist team.

Valerie's expertise in diabetes care is evident from their role as the Inpatient Diabetes Medical Director at Mission Medical Assoc, where they served from September 2012 to May 2018.

Following this, from 1989 to 1992, they attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine. Valerie further pursued their medical education at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completing the Internal Medicine Residency Program from 1992 to 1995. Lastly, they attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 2012 to 2015, earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Implementation Science and Program Development.
