Kara Fick

Director, Patient Advocacy and Medical Affairs at Atsena Therapeutics

Kara Fick has a diverse work experience. Kara began their career at Target Pharmacy in 2013 as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. In the same year, they also worked as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, where they became trained and certified on Animal Use Protocol (AUP) by The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). In 2014, they joined Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as an Analyst, Product Strategy, and held various roles such as Manager, Medical Field Operations and Senior Manager, Patient Advocacy. In 2022, they were appointed as Director, Patient Advocacy at Taysha Gene Therapies, and later in the same year, they became Director, Patient Advocacy and Medical Affairs at Atsena Therapeutics.

Kara Fick obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University. In 2013, they obtained a Certified Pharmacy Technician certification from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. In 2014, they obtained a Good Clinical Practices certification from the NIDA Clinical Trials Network.
