To further their expertise, Laura pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Vision Science at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, they completed a Residency in Primary Care/Ocular Disease at the State University of New York College of Optometry from 2013 to 2014, specifically focusing on the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System.

Laura's educational journey culminated in their enrollment at the University of Houston, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Vision Science/Physiological Optics from 2014 to 2020.
