Randy Mays has worked in various roles across a range of organizations since 1984. Randy began their career as an Electronics Engineer with the United States Air Force, where they served as Chief of Flight Test Engineering, leading a team of 8 engineers tasked with the test and evaluation of all operational weapon systems in use by the Strategic Air Command. In 1993, they moved to Dynamics Research Corporation as a Senior Communications Engineer, supporting Windows NT, Netware 3.x and 4.x, and Banyan Vines servers distributed in an Ethernet LAN/WAN environment. In 1994, they joined Abacus Technology Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer, responsible for maintaining overall system availability in excess of 99.99%. Randy was also responsible for day-to-day operational environment responsibilities, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and providing disaster recovery for Microsoft Network Services. From 2002 to 2008, they worked at Ingenium Corporation and TAIC as a File Services Manager, responsible for managing a team of 12 system engineers in the day to day operation of a large data center. In 2013, they joined Commvault as a Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) and Consulting Engineer, managing product evaluations and developing system designs to assist DoD customers in adopting Commvault solutions, as well as providing installation, upgrade, configuration and training for Commvault software. Finally, in 2019 they joined ID Technologies as a DOD Storage Solutions Architect, and in 2022 they moved to Archon Secure as a Cryptographic Engineer.
Randy Mays attended Louisiana Tech University from 1980 to 1984 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.
