Steve Harmon

Steve Harmon has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and crime analysis, currently serving as a Crime Analyst and GIS Coordinator at Auburn Police Department since March 2010. Previous roles include Treasurer and Board Member for the Maine GIS Users Group and GIS Analyst at TRC Companies, Inc. Steve also has a solid background as a Freelance GIS Specialist and Environmental Geo-Scientist, alongside significant positions at First Wind as GIS Manager and Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency as Volunteer GIS Manager. Education credentials include a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology-Chemistry from the University of Maine at Farmington. Steve’s career reflects a strong commitment to leveraging GIS technologies for public safety and environmental management.
