Kara Wallace

Kara Wallace is an experienced project manager specializing in exhibitions, currently working at the Auckland War Memorial Museum since November 2022. Prior to this role, Kara held the position of Arts and Culture Programmer at Auckland Council from January 2015 to November 2022 and served as Curator and Exhibitions Manager at Corban Estate Arts Centre from November 2013 to November 2014. Earlier experience includes Gallery Director and Curator at Nook Gallery, as well as print production roles at Hinkler Books and Penguin Books. Kara began a career in the arts as a Gallery Guide at Auckland Art Gallery, contributing to educational programs and events. Kara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Auckland University of Technology between 2001 and 2005.
