Damien Shulock

Damien Shulock has extensive experience in the medical device industry. Damien is currently the VP of Research and Development at Auctus Surgical since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Research & Development at ZKR Orthopedics starting in March 2019. From May 2017 to September 2018, Damien was the VP of Product Engineering at Microsfere Pte. Ltd., where they played a crucial role in developing an innovative IoT device. Damien also worked at PONTiS Orthopaedics as the Director of Engineering from July 2015 to April 2017, focusing on enhancing existing product lines and designing anchor systems. Their previous roles include R&D Engineering Manager at Stryker from March 2014 to May 2015, R&D Engineering Manager and Sr. Project Engineer at CoAlign Innovations (formerly Innvotec Surgical) from October 2012 to March 2014 and September 2008 to October 2012 respectively. Damien also worked as a Sr. R&D Engineer at Aspire Medical from November 2005 to August 2008, contributing to design improvements for an implantable device. Earlier in their career, Damien served as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at A-Med Systems from December 1998 to December 2005, where they designed a catheter blood pump. Damien began their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Heart Technology, Inc. from May 1995 to December 1998.

Damien Shulock pursued their education at Dartmouth College from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Engineering. Additionally, they attended the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering.
