David is excited to work at the intersection of widely deployable, inexpensive diagnostic devices and the latest technologies in computer vision, machine learning, and AI. After a career as a US Navy Officer and pilot, David earned a Doctor of Science degree in biomedical engineering with a focus on biomedical photonics and AI from George Washington University. Prior to joining Audere, David designed and tested in-vivo optics-based diagnostic devices at the National Institutes of Health, and was Engineering Director at Hivemapper, where he led the team that developed the company's first ML/AI product.
