Dereck Blackburn

Dereck Blackburn is an experienced audio engineer and business owner, serving as the Owner/Engineer of Quiethouse Recording since January 1998, where a home-based recording studio provides services to local and international musicians. As the Treasurer of the Audio Engineering Society Boston Section since May 2023, Blackburn manages the organization's financial activities while contributing to the executive team, having previously served as Secretary. In addition, Blackburn co-founded the Audio Builders Workshop, participating in event planning and marketing communications. Freelance work at Harvard Business School entails conducting podcast audio recordings and production.
