Richard Cabot

Rich Cabot is an experienced technology and standards professional with a strong background in audio engineering. Currently serving as Standards Manager for the Audio Engineering Society since October 2016, Rich oversees standards development and liaises with other standards organizations. As Chief Technology Officer at Qualis Audio since 2006, Rich handles technology and product development. Additionally, Rich has been President of XFRM, Inc., since July 2001, focusing on research and development in audio technology, particularly in home theater and surround sound. Formerly, Rich was Chief Technology Officer at Audio Precision, where significant advancements in high-performance test and measurement equipment were made, alongside pioneering digital signal processing applications. Rich's career began at Tektronix as a Project Leader, and academic credentials include an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University at Albany.
