Shariq Mobin

Shariq Mobin is the CEO and Founder of AudioFocus, established in May 2019, focused on addressing hearing difficulties in noisy environments. Shariq raised funding from notable sources including YCombinator and the National Institute on Aging. Shariq has a background in deep learning research, with a patented thesis aimed at enhancing nearby voices while suppressing distant ones, utilizing a synthetic acoustic dataset. Clinical research conducted under Shariq's direction has demonstrated the technology's benefits in socializing and noise tolerance. Prior experience includes roles as a firmware engineer, summer cohort participant at Y Combinator, and research engineer at Google, where Shariq worked on real-time deep learning models and generative adversarial networks.
