Adam James has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Client Statistics Development for the Department for Work and Pensions. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an Informatica ETL Developer for the Department for Work and Pensions, where they were the lead developer of the government's Universal Credit MI Data Warehouse ETL processes. In 2016, they moved to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) as a Senior BI Design and Integration Manager and BI Design and Integration Manager / Lead ETL Developer, where they designed, developed and implemented all Pentaho Data Integration ETL routines to load the organisation's, MOD's and industry partner's estate data into the data warehouse. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Data Engineer for easyfundraising.org.uk and then as Head of Data for Audoo.
Adam James completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Sheffield Hallam University between 2004 and 2007, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from the same university.
