Daniel Wagers has a diverse work experience in various technology companies. Daniel started their career in 2008 as a Student Systems Assistant at The Ohio State University, where they built and maintained a large Renderman cluster. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at OCLC, focusing on DevOps for Hadoop clusters and maintenance of a custom search engine.
In 2015, Daniel joined Pillar Technology as a Principal Software Artisan, which was later acquired by Accenture. During their time there, they served as a Tech Lead and DevOps Consultant for a Japanese automotive manufacturer, where they automated and tested the deployment of AWS VPCs and developed an infotainment system with predictive analytics.
In 2019, Daniel transitioned to Accenture as a Digital Technology Development Manager. Daniel worked on various projects, including a custom platform engine for a large athletic shoe company and multiple engagements as an Engagement Consultant. In these roles, they handled projects related to embedded Linux distribution, epidemiology tools, AI/ML edge compute, and police camera solutions.
Currently, Daniel is working as a Software Engineer (Consultant) at augustwenty. Daniel has been involved in projects for an e-Sports services startup, a firmware security analysis startup, and a healthcare software startup. Their responsibilities include development, performance improvements, and developing new modules using languages such as Python, Go, and Django.
Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated expertise in software development, DevOps, automation, and cloud technologies.
Daniel Wagers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2010.
