Nils Pihl

Nils Pihl has a long and varied work history, beginning in 2005 when they served in the Swedish Army as a Military Police. In 2007, they moved to HansaWorld as an International Channel Manager, where they developed and executed channel strategies, recruited and trained international high-value partners, and represented the company at events like MacWorld and GITEX. In 2010, they founded Mention LLC, an international consulting agency specializing in engagement design and game mechanics. In 2013, they became the CEO of Traintracks.io, an award-winning real-time behavioral analytics platform, where they raised over $600,000 in seed financing and government grants, recruited and managed international talent, and sold on-premise software licenses. In 2017, they became a Behavioral Engineer & Branding Consultant, performing Memetic Engineering, and also took on an interim role as Director of Communications at Argyle Hotel Group. In 2018, they joined KaiOS Technologies, Inc. as Director of Data & Business Intelligence, where they managed a team of product managers, engineers, data scientists, and analysts to drive revenue from actionable insights from data. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Auki Labs, and in 2021, they moved to Matterless Studios, where they are also the Chief Executive Officer.

Nils Pihl studied Mandarin at Beijing Language and Culture University between 2009 and 2010. Nils also attended Lund University between 2006 and 2007.
