Samik Raychaudhuri

Samik Raychaudhuri has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Samik is currently the Head of Data Science and Infrastructure at Auquan, where they manage the development of AI and machine learning systems for data collection and investment decision-making. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Product Development for Cloud AI Services at Oracle, where they led the research and development of AI services for time series forecasting. Samik also held the position of VP and Head of Data Sciences at Quick Ride.

Before joining Quick Ride, Samik worked at [24]7.ai as the Director of Data Sciences and AI, where they oversaw the development of a scalable platform for managing ML and AI models and the integration of deep learning libraries. Samik also served as a Senior Architect for Data Infrastructure, where they worked on projects related to customer intent prediction and machine learning on big data.

Samik's previous experience includes roles at Oracle as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, where they contributed to the development of the internal math engine of Oracle Crystal Ball, and at Decisioneering Inc. as a Senior Operations Research Engineer, where they focused on improving fitting routines and developing optimization solvers for risk analytics and predictive modeling software.

Early in their career, Samik worked as a Research Scholar at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where they designed bidding strategies for transportation service procurement auctions. Samik also gained experience as a Speedteam Summer Intern at IBM Microelectronics Division and as a Member Technical at Wilco International Systems, where they developed software for trade processing in the financial sector.

Samik's work experience began with a role as a Research Liaison at Hindustan Unilever Ltd, where they optimized outbound logistics for fertilizer distribution and transportation. Samik Raychaudhuri started their education in 1988 at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, where they received their Secondary degree in 1994. Samik then attended Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, from 1994 to 1996, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree or field of study. From 1996 to 2000, Samik studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, earning a B. Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management.
