Laura Westcott has over 18 years of work experience in various roles. Laura is currently working as a Wellness Coach and Singer for Aura Health, where they help improve mental health through coaching and singing on the Aura app. Prior to this, in 2017, they founded Music for Mental Wealth, an organization dedicated to preventing mental health challenges in the music industry. Laura organized a concert series called "Music with Meaning" where performers could openly speak about their feelings and share the meaning behind their songs. Before their career in mental health and music, Laura worked as a Content Editor for News Corp in New York, where they filmed and edited video interviews. Laura also worked as a Public Relations Manager for The Times, where they were responsible for editorial management, promoting and protecting the paper's reputation, writing press releases, and arranging interviews with broadcast producers. Additionally, they worked as a PR Assistant for Bell Pottinger and as an Exams Administrator and Events Coordinator for Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Laura Westcott began their education at Northbourne Park School, where they attended from 1985 to 1991. Laura then attended Sir Roger Manwood's Grammar School from 1991 to 1998. Laura went on to study at Canterbury Christ Church University from 1998 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (voice). Finally, they attended the University of Westminster from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a degree in Journalism through the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
