Tomi Pinomäki began their career in 2003 as an Electrician at YW-Sähkö Oy. Tomi then moved to Euroelektro Oy (later Easy vision Oy) as a Project Engineer in 2003 and Imot Oy as a Project Engineer in 2008. In 2011, they joined Tetra Pak as a Factory Manager, where they were responsible for leading the organization to meet or exceed factory KPI's by using World Class Manufacturing continuous improvement methodology. Tomi was also a member of the Europe & Central Asia cluster supply chain operations leadership team. During their time there, quality issues decreased by half and the factory's level of total waste decreased significantly. Tomi was later promoted to Factory Director, where they were responsible for leading the organization to fulfill the company strategy and keeping customers happy. Tomi also planned to eventually reach Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance World Class-level in Total Productive Maintenance. In 2023, they joined Aurelia Turbines as a Production Operations Manager, where they were responsible for scaling up the production operations to match the growth of the company, as well as developing a robust supply chain assisted by World Class Manufacturing to keep quality, reliability, and efficiency in everything they do to serve customers.

Tomi Pinomäki has a diverse educational background. Tomi completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from South Carelia Polytechnic between 1999 and 2003. Tomi then completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences between 2017 and 2019. Most recently, they obtained a Master of Engineering in Project and Sales Management from Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from LinkedIn and IPMA: International Project Management Association.
