Fariborz Mahjouri

Fariborz Mahjouri, PhD, PE, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as CEO of Aurora Energy, Inc. since March 2007, focusing on solar energy system design and installation. As a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, along with being a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer, expertise encompasses both solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies. Prior roles include Owner of Thermo Technologies since 1991, Executive Director at Kingspan Environmental, and Director at S3 Technologies Inc., where significant contributions were made in corporate restructuring and expanded technical capabilities. Academic roles include positions as Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and Assistant Professor at Sharif University of Technology, complemented by a robust educational background with a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University.
