Jennifer Herman has extensive experience as a Director of Special Education. Jennifer began their career at Niles Township in 2008 and held the position until 2010. From there, they moved to Skokie in 2011, where they served as Director of Special Education until 2013. Jennifer then joined West Aurora School District 129 in 2013, where they are currently working in the same position.
Jennifer Herman has a diverse educational background with multiple degrees and areas of study. Jennifer attained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History and Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington in 1994. Following this, they earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Education from Monmouth University in 1996. Jennifer pursued further education and completed a Master's degree in Special Education from National Louis University from 1999 to 2001. Jennifer continued their studies at National Louis University and obtained a Master's degree in School Administration from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, they attained an endorsement in Director of Special Education from National Louis University in 2007. Jennifer's vast educational journey culminated in the completion of an EdD (Doctor of Education) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Aurora University in 2020.
