Jamie McDonald is a Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in project delivery and management within the civil engineering sector. Currently at Ausenco since November 2022, Jamie has been seconded to Newmont for the Block Cave works at the Red Chris Mine Site and has previously developed feasibility studies for projects across Canada and Mexico. Jamie's prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at Fortescue Metals Group, focusing on renewable energy projects, and Superintendent at Worley, overseeing civil and SMP operations on major projects like Rio Tinto’s $2.6 billion Koodaideri Iron Ore facility. Earlier experience at Laing O'Rourke involved significant projects such as the Edinburgh St James development and the Northlink Stage 2 Project, along with site engineering on the $40 billion Wheatstone LNG project. Jamie began an academic career as a Civil Engineering Tutor at Curtin University while holding a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honors) in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
