Eric Lofgren joined AUSGAR in 2013 as chief financial officer and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, facility management, security, and contracts.
He has had an impact on AUSGAR. He implemented a new accounting system and is now driving company efficiency and business process improvement.
Eric has 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, with most of his career spent in the aerospace and defense industry.
He worked for 19 years at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), starting as a financial analyst and later serving as vice president of finance in various roles, including business unit controller and corporate planning manager.
More recently, Eric held the position of accounting and finance manager at General Atomics Electronic Systems, Inc., a $60 million, government and commercial manufacturing affiliate of General Atomics with 250 employees. His accomplishments include establishing a four-person department responsible for financial planning and analysis, revenue recognition, government accounting compliance, program finance, billing, and proposal support.
Other positions include vice president of finance at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and audit senior at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
Eric has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of San Diego and is a CPA (inactive). He is also a member of the Member California Society of CPAs, American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Association of Government Accountants (AGA), and National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
