Alissa Magrum is an experienced nonprofit leader with a strong background in water safety and drowning prevention. Currently serving as the Interim Executive Director of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and the Program Director at The ZAC Foundation for Children's Safety, Alissa also evaluates programs for the American Red Cross and provides water safety advisory services at Austin Sunshine Camps. Previously, Alissa was the Executive Director of Colin's Hope for over 12 years, where responsibilities included leadership, program development, and community engagement. Early career roles included directing AmeriCorps at Communities In Schools of Central Texas and managing grants for the Texas Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service. Alissa holds a Master of Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington.
