Field Operations Director Latam at AustinGIS™

Filipe Fonseca's work experience began with an internship at PECNON - Gabinete de Estudos e Projectos in 2004. Filipe then worked as a Construction Manager at SOCEP Ambiente from 2004 to 2006 and later as a Construction Manager at FDO Construções from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they served as a Project Manager at Construções Esteves Marques. In 2011, they worked as a Resident Construction Engineer at TBR Construtora Ltda.

In 2012, Filipe joined CBRE as an Associate Director in Building Consultancy Services, and later became the Senior Project Manager and Head of Project Management in Rio de Janeiro. During their time at CBRE, they successfully delivered projects to various clients and managed a team of professionals. Filipe also had financial responsibilities and built strong relationships with clients and project partners.

Following their tenure at CBRE, Filipe worked as a Director at Landtrust Capital from 2016 to 2019. At Landtrust, they provided real estate investment, development, and asset management services.

From 2019 to 2021, Filipe served as a Technical Director at Blue Buffalo Capital, where they led the project management team and ensured timely delivery and quality of projects. Filipe also managed construction cost estimates, coordinated design and project teams, and oversaw infrastructure works. Additionally, they handled procurement processes and prepared progress reports for stakeholders and investors.

Currently, Filipe is the Field Operations Director Latam at AustinGIS™, where they are involved in delivering large-scale, complex IoT Infrastructure projects to enterprises and governments globally.

Filipe Fonseca has a diverse educational background. Filipe obtained a Post-Graduation degree in Project Management from the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, which was completed by 2010. In the following year, they pursued further education in Project Management and obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.

Before focusing on Project Management, Filipe had completed a MEng degree in Civil Engineering at the NOVA School of Science and Technology by 2003.

Filipe'seducational journey began at Colégio Valsassina, where they completed their high school education between 1981 and 1996. However, the field of study for their high school degree is not specified.

Additionally, Filipe has obtained two certifications: they are a Full Member of the Ordem dos Engenheiros and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. The exact years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
