Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Director of Medical Services and the Director of Emergency Medicine at Epworth since January 2016. Ryan holds several fellowships, including with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. In addition to these roles, Ryan has contributed to the forensic medical field as a Forensic Medical Officer with the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine and as a Custodial Medical Officer with the Victoria Police Force since January 1997. Ryan's academic involvement includes being a Clinical Associate Professor at Deakin University and having served as the Discipline Head for Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at The University of Notre Dame Australia. Educational qualifications include a Master of Forensic Medicine and a Master's in Health Services Management from Monash University, along with a Diploma of Management from Victoria University.
