Anna Brakey

Anna Brakey is a seasoned professional in economic regulation and competition law, currently serving as a Commissioner at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) since December 2020. Anna chairs several committees within the ACCC, including the Infrastructure Committee and the Electricity Markets Inquiry Board, while also holding cross-appointment roles as an Associate Member at both the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the New Zealand Commerce Commission. Prior to these positions, Anna held multiple leadership roles at the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART), including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Strategy and Economic Analysis, where significant contributions were made in the energy sector. Anna's educational background includes a Bachelor of Economics from The Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, along with completion of the Company Directors Course.
