Lei Qin

Lei Qin, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Data Science and Analytics Engineer at Australian Ethical Investment since September 2024. Previously, Lei held the role of Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer at GrainCorp from January 2023 to September 2024, where key contributions included leading a project to optimize crushing plant operations. At Nine, from October 2021 to January 2023, Lei spearheaded personalized promotion initiatives for the 9Now show, utilizing machine learning for targeted marketing. A Postdoctoral Fellow at UNSW from January 2021 to October 2021, Lei received the AINSE Early Career Researcher Grant. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at The University of Texas at Austin, where Lei worked on cancer and cystic fibrosis treatment compounds, as well as a Research Associate role at the University of Sydney focusing on organic anion receptors. Lei earned a PhD from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Data Engineering from The Australian National University.
