Jessica Wethered has extensive work experience in the sports industry. Jessica currently works for the AFL as the National Auskick Manager, a role they started in May 2023. Previously, they served as the National Alternative Formats Project Manager at AFL from June 2022 to May 2023.
Before joining AFL, Jessica worked for the National Rugby League (NRL) from 2019 to 2022. Jessica'sroles at NRL included Recruitment Programs Manager from September 2020 to June 2022, and Program Manager - League Stars from October 2019 to June 2022.
Prior to NRL, they worked for Rugby Australia from 2013 to 2019. Jessica'spositions at Rugby Australia included National Community Programs Manager from January 2018 to September 2019, National Participation Recruitment Coordinator from February 2015 to December 2017, and Rugby Participation Administrator from July 2013 to February 2015.
Jessica's earlier work experience includes a role as an Event Coordinator at Surf Life Saving Australia from January 2010 to December 2012. Jessica also had an internship as a Macquarie Sports Intern at Macquarie Group from 2008 to 2009. Jessica'searliest known work experience was as a Swimming Instructor at Willoughby City Council, where they worked from 2005 to 2009.
Jessica Wethered completed their Bachelor's degree in Management, Sport and Exercise from the University of Technology Sydney from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Killara High School and obtained their Higher School Certificate from 2000 to 2005.
