Melissa Barnett

Melissa Barnett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in marketing and communications. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications for Schools at the Australian Government Department of Education since September 2022, Melissa has previously held key roles in various organizations, including Acting Manager of Marketing & Communications and Senior Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House from June 2021 to September 2022. Prior to that, Melissa worked at Southern Cross Austereo as a Media Sales Executive, and at CANBERRA FM RADIO PTY LTD as an Account Manager. Additional experience includes an Account Manager position at Southern Cross Austereo and a Sales Coordinator role at PRIME7. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Business Marketing degree from Charles Sturt University and completed secondary education at Saint Josephs High School from 2003 to 2009.
