Catherine Austin has extensive legal experience spanning over two decades, with significant roles in prominent institutions. Currently serving as the Committee Secretariat at the Australian Property Institute since January 2023, Catherine previously held the position of Principal Lawyer at Rail Projects Victoria from July 2015 to January 2023, specializing in land acquisition and project delivery. Catherine contributed as a Senior Lawyer at the Department of Transport from January 2008 to January 2023, notably in the development of the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009. Additional experience includes roles at Local Government Victoria, the Department of Justice in Victoria, and the Department of Justice and Attorney General Queensland, where Catherine focused on legal policy and legislation across various areas.
