Head Of Sport Financial Advisory at Australian Sports Commission

Andrew MacFarlane has a strong background in financial advisory and management consulting. Andrew began their career at PwC as an Assistant Manager, where they focused on financial statement audits and advisory projects. Andrew then moved on to KPMG Advisory, where they held positions as a Manager and later as an Associate Director, specializing in assisting stressed and distressed corporates, as well as non-stressed engagements involving performance improvement and strategic business reviews. Most recently, they served as the Head of Sport Financial Advisory at the Australian Sports Commission.

Andrew MacFarlane obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography and Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the years 1998-2001. Additionally, they completed the Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs and the Company Directors Course (GAICD) from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew also achieved a Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (Distinction) from the Insolvency Practitioners Association (UK) and completed the Insolvency Education Programme (1st Nationally for 2011) from the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA). Earlier in their education, they attended Glenalmond College and Ardvreck.
