Matt Cox

Matt Cox has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matt currently holds the position of Director of Governance & Risk at the Australian Sports Commission. Prior to this, they worked as the Fraud/Audit Director at Defence Australia from October 2020 to April 2022. Before that, they were an Internal Audit/Risk Specialist at Axiom Associates from April 2019 to October 2020. Matt Cox also served as an Inspector/Director at the Australian Border Force from January 2010 to March 2019. Furthermore, they gained significant experience as a Police Officer, working for both the Queensland Police Service from May 1996 to December 2009 and the Australian Federal Police from June 2003 to July 2008.

Matt Cox attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1989 to 1991 and obtained a Bachelor of Business degree in Management. Matt later pursued a Graduate Certificate of Internal Audit at the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors.
