Alaa Memari, PhD, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development within the textile and polymer industries. Currently serving as the Group R&D Manager at Autins Group plc since November 2020, Alaa drives innovation to fulfill the organization’s R&D objectives while demonstrating exceptional technical, analytical, leadership, and management skills. Prior roles include Product & Process Development Lead and Neptune Manufacturing Lead at Autins, Process Engineer at Autoneum, and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Leeds. Alaa has a solid academic foundation with a PhD in Textile Materials - Nonwovens from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Polymer Technology from Aalen University. Previous positions also encompass roles at notable companies such as Celanese and Procter & Gamble, focusing on polymer and nonwoven product development, testing, and technical support.
