Juan Bernardo Proaño has a diverse work experience in the technology and automotive industries. In 2021, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Autority.io (Techstars), a company that makes vehicle management payments simple and in one place. From 2019 to 2021, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of repuestoseguro.com, where they built and scaled Ecuador's first B2B auto parts marketplace. From 2016 to 2019, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Mundo Repuesto Ecuador, where they imported auto-parts from leading markets and reduced lead times and costs for customers. From 2015 to 2016, they were the COO of Mundo Repuesto LLC, an e-commerce platform that sold auto-parts to Latin-American customers. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Global Project Manager at Ecuacopia - Ricoh Ecuador, where they developed new projects through the integration of technology. Additionally, from 2011 to 2015, they were a Sales Consultant for Latin America at Sensible Technologies, LLC, where they were responsible for prospecting, contacting, and closing sales throughout Central and South America, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, and Florida.

Juan Bernardo Proaño received their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Florida International University - College of Business in 2012, with a focus on Green Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from Webster University in 2009.
