Philip Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Philip is currently working as a Consulting CFO at Cardihab, a digital health company specializing in cardiac rehabilitation services. Prior to this, they served as the CFO at Serene Medical, a role they held from January 2018 until November 2022.
In addition to their CFO roles, Philip has also worked as a Managing Director and Owner at CFO Insight, an independent consulting business that provides CFO services to small and medium-sized operators. Philip co-founded Liquidity Matters (T/A Hire2Own) and served as a co-founder and director, aiming to build sustainable small and medium enterprises by facilitating ownership in core assets within the Australian construction market.
Philip has also held positions such as Chief Financial Officer at Uni-Span Group, a large organization operating in the construction supply sector, and Finance Director at Automated Positioning Systems, a market leader in Fleet Management and Machine Guidance Solutions for the mining industry. Furthermore, they worked as General Manager at William Buck Queensland and as CFO & Company Secretary at BEELINE and Retail Technology Services Limited, where they were involved in fund management and capital funding rounds.
Philip Barnes completed their Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Accountancy at CQUniversity from 1987 to 1989. In 2001 and 2002, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice at Chartered Secretaries Australia. Currently, Philip is enrolled in the Australian Institute of Company Directors pursuing a GAICD degree, which is set to be completed in 2022.
