Paul Becan

Paul Becan is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in network engineering and system reliability. Currently serving as a Cisco Network Engineer at Avacone AG IT & LAB Services, Paul engages in network device configurations, routing protocols, and firewall administration. As the Head of the nonprofit organization "Baieții de la IT," Paul focuses on improving digital access in disadvantaged areas of Romania. Previous roles include Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Darwin, where Paul contributed to the design and implementation of critical systems, and various positions at Thomsons Online Benefits, including Site Reliability Engineer and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed managing cloud platforms, automation, and network security. Paul holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, and has a strong foundational education in mathematics and computer science from high school.
