Pengfa Xu has a strong background in research and development, with experience in various scientific roles. Pengfa started their career as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they worked on semiconductor spintronics and the growth and characterization of various semiconductor films and alloys. Pengfa then joined the Max Plank Institute for chemical physics of solids as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Pengfa later worked at IBM as a post-doc, where they maintained a Molecular beam epitaxy chamber and grew anti-ferromagnetic oxides, metals, and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy materials. Pengfa is currently working as an MTJ characterization scientist at Avalanche Technology Inc.
Pengfa Xu earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Qufu Normal University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2011, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter Physics at the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
