Beverly McGowen

Beverly McGowen currently serves as the Vice President of Global DEI, People Partners & Talent Management at Avalara since November 2023. Prior to this role, Beverly took a sabbatical from August 2022 to October 2023 to focus on self-care, family, and farm business development. At Redfin from March 2021 to July 2022, Beverly was Vice President of People, overseeing talent management and organizational development, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Beverly's experience at Amazon from February 2017 to February 2021 included roles as Senior Manager for Executive Development & Talent Assessment and for Talent Management, People Analytics, & DEI, where Beverly implemented talent strategies across various divisions. Previous positions include Principal of Global Talent Management at The Neiman Marcus Group, Director of Talent Management & Organization Development at PepsiCo, and various roles at Frito-Lay focusing on HR organization management and development. Beverly holds an MBA from Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas, and a BA in History with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
