Tim Diekmann

Tim Diekmann is an experienced technology executive currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Architect at Avalara, where responsibilities encompass overall product and enterprise architecture, technology roadmap ownership, and ensuring high-quality product development. Prior to this role, Tim held several senior positions, including Vice President of Architecture at Avalara, Vice President at ABB, Chief Architect at Oracle, and Principal Architect/Director of Engineering at TIBCO Software Inc. Throughout the career, achievements include establishing governance for product design, leading strategic planning for software architecture, and mentoring architects across various organizations. Tim also co-chaired the OSGi Alliance's Enterprise Expert Group and served as Principal Engineer at Siemens Communications, contributing to large-scale projects across multiple continents. Tim holds an MS in Computer Science from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and a Vordiplom in Computer Science from Kiel University.
