Thomas Widmer

Thomas runs Avaloq’s operations and strategy. He is a strategic thinker and hands-on doer, translating visions and objectives into measurable results. Prior to joining Avaloq, Thomas was Partner at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he supported and advised financial institutions on strategy and business model transformation, operating model and process optimization as well as the development of digital products and new businesses. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the University of Basel and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In his spare time, Thomas enjoys exploring the Swiss Alps, savouring smoky Whiskey, and supporting his favourite soccer team.
